DyVERSE Moves into CoLab

January 20, 2009 - Leave a Response

Its been a little while since we lasted posted, but we plan on being more active bloggers in the ’09!  We wanted our first blog of the year to let everyone know about our new digs at CoLab Orlando.  CoLab is a coworking environment that is bringing the creative and tech community of Orlando together.  Although there are some other coworking options we are confident that CoLab will prevail as Orlando’s official coworking space.  We feel knowledgeable about the subject because before we found CoLab we were in search of a coworking space that we can work and meet with other entrepreneurs and other creative individuals that were looking to do something significant.  After about a year long search we finally came across CoLab Orlando, a perfect space in a perfect location on the sixth floor of the Angebilt building in Downtown Orlando (On the corner of Orange Ave. and Wall St.).  We actually have our own suite which are available along with the main coworking space.  If you are interested in finding out more come and visit us anytime.  CoLab is offering some special promotions for memberships and even free coworking Tuesdays!  You can also visit CoLab online at www.colaborlando.com.

There is an event tomorrow, Wednesday the 22nd in which a coworking pioneer Alex Hillman from Philadelphia’s Independence Hall will be here.  Here are some details for the event:

New DyVERSE MySpace Page – Add Us!

June 17, 2008 - Leave a Response

We have officially launched our new MySpace page! We had to create a whole new account because we changed our name so we needed a new URL. That means we have to start from scratch as far friends. We are going to be aggressively seeking new MySpace friends over the next few months, so “Add or Be Added” is our new motto!

MySpace along with other social media such as Facebook, About Us, Linked In, Uber, Flickr, etc. our essential elements to any marketing campaign. As with any one marketing initiative, they should not be relied upon to be the sole answer to bring in leads, but they are very effective components to marketing campaigns when deployed strategically.

Instead of choosing between MySpace and Facebook, create a profile on them all. The more mediums you are able to touch your consumers or potential consumers the better. Not only that, the content you are allowed to put on these social media sites about your company is picked up by the search engines and will benefit your placement among the rankings.

The features on MySpace and Facebook are a marketers dream because you are able to constantly stay on the top of the mind of friends through bulletins, status updates, profile updates and comments. Make sure to add our MySpace page as we plan on using this as a channel to broadcast DyVERSE News as well as promote special events.

Don’t forget….Add or Be Added! www.myspace.com/dyverse_marketing_group

Marketing to Gen-Y

June 1, 2008 - Leave a Response

As President of DyVERSE Marketing Group, and being a member of Generation Y I am feel that it is natural that we start to carve out a niche in this market. It actually was my main intent when I first came up with the idea of starting a marketing company, hence the “y” in DyVERSE. A few years after conceptualizing the company, I officially started the agency in February 2007. By then I had been working in real estate marketing for three years and had become extremely passionate about the real estate industry. I had learned so much about marketing real estate, during the good times and the bad.

I decided to make real estate a staple of our company, even though when I tell people that in these rough times, they look at me like I’m crazy. That’s alright though, I am in it for the long run and I plan to be on top of the game when the market picks back up. We have been pretty successful with a few of the real estate clients that have still been investing in their marketing, we offer innovative services that are guaranteed to help those that we work with.

It has always been my intention to bring the Generation Y focus back once we position we get our resources together to effectively do so. We are continually researching this segment and figuring out how we can benefit our clients looking to target these consumers. Generally this generation is considered to be those americans born in between the years 1980 and 1993. The market usually accounts for $150 – $200 billion. Besides Generation Y they go by the Millennials, Echo Boomers and the Digital Generation. The internet is widely considered to be where they spend most of their time as far as media, so incorporating the internet in any media plan looking to reach this demographic is a must.

This is my first of most likely many more posts to come regarding the Generation Y market. We will still be heavily involved in real estate marketing (especially New Urbanism and urban development), in addition we are aiming to be considered the authority when it comes to Generation Y and Multicultural Marketing.

Stay tuned for more on this subject coming soon, for more information about DyVERSE email me at john@dyversemarketing.com or just visit www.dyversemarketing.com.

Adapting to a Multicultural America

May 17, 2008 - Leave a Response

The face of the American population is forever changing. The general market proportion of the overall population in the US is rapidly decreasing. In fact since the year 2000, 82% of population growth has come from Asians, African Americans and Hispanics, with 50% of that growth from Hispanics alone. This trend is only going to continue of course. This means that companies attempting to sell their products or services to the general market only will steadily see their market share decline until they find themselves out of business.

Companies wise enough to recognize the opportunity that these new markets offer early, will have the advantage. Transitioning to a multicultural marketing approach is even more necessary for the larger market regions in the United States such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami. In most of these regions the percentage of ethnic minorities compared to the general market is greater than 50%.

Multicultural marketing does not just mean you are going to have to translate the language of your advertisements. Actually the dominant share of each major ethnic group speaks at least some english. Effective multicultural marketing takes into account the consumer habits, concentrated locations, country of origin, household income, accepted sayings as well as language preferences of each ethnic group.

At DyVERSE we are striving to not only get ahead of the curve ourselves, but help our clients do the same. Being a leader in this area is a natural fit for our company. We value diversity more than anything as can be witnessed by our name and our multicultural staff. We see a void in the market for effective multicultural marketing. Although there are some agencies here and there that might specialize in certain niche ethnic markets such as the large Hispanic market, we are growing into an agency that offers access to every major ethnic market as they all provide lucrative opportunities.

Wayne Gretzky summed it up perfectly with his explanation of personal success “skate to where the puck is going, not to where it is.”
